The Balance series continues to evolve and always has the ability to deliver elements of surprise and intrigue with each release, none more so, than the latest addition to its already impressive list of compilers, Desyn Masiello. Desyn incorporates house classics, deep, tech, funky and progressive in his sets. His musical taste takes inspiration from everything and anything that he feels and manages to establish his own sound that crosses boundaries, making it difficult to categorize. Vinyl Sampler 1 features the exclusive Derek Howell remix of Soulsearcher – Cant Get Enough who takes the soulful club smash from 1999 and turns it into a dark, chugging (and brilliant) tribal workout with uplifting melodies seering throughout the latter part of the track. Side B displays the talents of Japan’s Daisuke Matsusaka whose quirky and haunting Asian Blue Rose track with it’s techy edge and rumbling b-line has been re-edited exclusively by Desyn Masiello by adding a longer DJ friendly intro and spaced-out effects for maximum impact on those late night floors. Vinyl Sampler 2 contains Orbital’s sublime and sought after classic Halcyon + On + On, which still sounds fresh more than 10 years since it’s original release. To round off a superb package Desyn Masiello delivers another exclusive edit of Get Physical artist Chelonis Jones’ – One On One track which has the potential to become a club classic thanks to the sexy vocals and the new arrangements by Desyn who knows exactly what the dance-floor is looking for judging by the way the edit has been received by clubbers and DJs alike.
