FREESOUL SESSIONS | Freesoul Sessions EP 1
 WMA sample
Freesoul Sessions was created by Mark de Clive-Lowe in London, 2004. The concept of the project is simple - MdCL armed with MPC and keyboards is joined by a rotating cast of top soul, jazz, hip hop and beat-artists coming together in the spirit of total improvisation. Stylistically rooted in the sound of West London, Freesoul Sessions does what has never been done before - each and every time, the live show is totally unique and a one-off experience for the musicians and the audience. This first Freesoul Sessions EP on Antipodean Records features MdCL on MPC3000 drums, MS Bass, Rhodes + Juno 6, Bugz in the Attic? Kaidi Tatham on live drums + Polysix and D.Fender on guitar laying down three tracks of instrumental inspiration straight off the dome. Part I takes the tempo and energy up for some next level Co op-ready broken meets Weather Report madness. Part II runs a bubbling broken house vibe and the EP finishes off with a heavy downtempo Dilla-esque head nod joint. Jazz for the new millennium b-boy· For real.
